Check for booby traps, Denver. Kevin McAllister is in town.
Macaulay Culkin is best known for his role as the clever robber-combating McAllister in the 1990s classic “Home Alone.” He now runs Bunny Ears, a spoof magazine and podcast.
He appeared to be in the Mile High City for work purposes, posting a photo on Instagram of him wearing the bunny ears at the dispensary Smokin Gun Apothecary during a shoot to learn about the history of “marijuana prohibition,” as he called it. He also stopped by Alamo Drafthouse to host a pajama-clad viewing of cult-classic Big Trouble in Little China.
But that wasn’t his only stop in Denver, and Culkin made sure to chronicle his adventures along the way. That filthy animal.
Monday night he made a quintessential visit to Casa Bonita, snagging a photo while sitting on the fountain that welcomes visitors to the restaurant’s cliff-diving lands.
Then Wednesday, he stopped by Kelsey Montague’s #WhatUnitesUs mural in RiNo before heading over to Civic Center park to see the zodiac heads by Chinese contemporary artist Ai Weiwei.
He then popped over to Voodoo Doughnut on Colfax Avenue near Franklin Street for a specialized doughnut of his face.
It seemed Culkin soaked up his Denver experience, although there is no word yet on whether the Casa Bonita food sat well in his stomach.
