The pop star Britney Spears has admitted that during her “Hit Me Baby One More Time” period, when she was 17, she used to smoke marijuana. Such confession at that time could have destroyed her career and the image of a young and healthy singer.
Now, the 34-year-old star states that since her teenage years, she has never gotten high, though she still sometimes inhales the fumes of cannabis smoke from the fans at her Las Vegas residency show.
When Britney Spears was interviewed on the Johnathan Ross Show, the star expressed her concern about the situation that is happening nowadays: more and more people like being intoxicated during the shows, and that is what made her high at one of the programs. Britney has not smoked marijuana since she was 17, and to her wonder, the contact at one of her shows was so strong that she could not function anymore. She had to leave immediately because she could not take it.
On Sept. 26, 2016, Britney Spears performed in The Roundhouse, London, for Apple Music Festival and confessed that it was much more pleasant for her as the crowd was neither high on marijuana nor drunk. That day became very memorable for her as there was something more personal and intimate between her and the people, who were really present at the show, not drunk or under euphoria.
In 2007, Britney Spears suffered from an infamous meltdown, which saw her shave her hair off and attack a car of paparazzi with an umbrella leading her to the rehabilitation center to recover. However, very soon, the well-known hit “Make Me” was made, and the star got her act together and stormed the music scene with her last album. She is also very proud to be a mother to her two sons: Sean, 11, and Jayden, 10.
When the singer talked about instilling “wisdom” in her boys—whose father is her ex-husband Kevin Federline—Britney said that she simply wanted Sean and Jayden to be strong men, and all she was going to do for that was being a good mother who could always support them and show them the right way.
