Cannabis is reported to be the most commonly used drug among the Australian citizens. Although the country’s government has recently legalized using marijuana for medicinal purposes, recreational weed is still illegal. However, this fact did not stop one of the Australians who failed to purchase an illicit drug from making a daredevil act.
When you are annoyed by the cost of pot going up, you probably talk about it to a friend. But for one angry customer, it was not enough.
According to the Facebook post of Australia's Northern Territory Police, one day they received a strange phone call from a woman who wanted to air her grievances about a local drug dealer.
The unhappy customer complained about the new prices on weed that had significantly increased. The unidentified woman called the cannabis cost hike “outrageous.” However, she refused to tell the details and hung up, probably because of the apparent fear of incriminating herself.
The police said the call was one of the most unusual ones they had ever received.
Although weed is illegal in the Northern Territory, the police decided to use the case to pursue other dealers. “If you know a drug dealer who is ripping you off, give us a call. We’d love to help,” says a post on the official Facebook page of the organization.
